I will still post here every chance I get but I am really liking youtube.. It allows me to post my projects and you can actually see it on video instead of just on a picture which to me is really cool. I have about 4 videos right now that you can check out and let me know what you think. I have more projects in mind so stay tuned.
My youtube name is Crafticakes7 and if you look at my first video, it explains the name so no snickering please : )
Anywho,

Thanks for stopping by and keep checking in on me here and on youtube.
Happy New Year everyone!!
Be safe and Praise God for helping you through 2012... I know I do!!

Pillow for the daughter of a Dear Friend
Hi All,
Just wanted to share another project that I made for a dear co-worker and friend. Her daughter pledged Delta Sigma Theta (you go girl). My friend wanted a unique gift for her daughter, so she commissioned me to make her this pillow and also the candy jar that was uploaded about a week ago.. I had a lot of fun creating both. I thought the eyelet material behind the letters would be a great femine touch to a already really cute design.. Although I had to leave out my signature pearl beads : ) I think it came out really pretty.
Thanks for taking the time to check it out.
And if I dont upload anything before Thanksgiving..
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families, May God continue to show you grace, mercy and love during this holiday season.

Happy Birthday AJ!!! : )
Hi Guys,
I just wanted to share with you a craft project for my great nephew.. Aj turned 2 this year and he loves Thomas the Train Engine : )
I made this pup tent after seeing it on Pin-terest.. I knew I had to make one so off to home depot I went.. man I really miss that place.. I use to go there all the time and build things but every since I started playing with paper I kind of neglected my old hobby.. but hey at least I'm still creating right..
So any way, the tent measures approx. 4 feet long (next time I will do it 3 feet long.. and about 3 1/2 feet tall.. it folds down flat for easy storage.. I also made a pillow to match. I figure he can hang out in there and look at books or watch Thomas : )
~~~~~~~~~~
The pillow was made using what else.. My cricut : ) I cut the letters at 3 inches tall after securing them to some steam a seam 2.. Now a word of caution, if you try this please use a very sticky mat, use steam a seam 2, place the material face down and then use some masking tape for all edges.. this will help the material stay in place and not shift during cutting and then dont forget to mirror the image so that when you cut the letters they will be right side up.. I hope this makes sense. I also sewed it down even though the steam to seam will hold the letters just fine.
The pillow is roughly the size of a standard pillow.
Any who... I love the way it came out..I hope he loves it too :)
Love you guys...
Happy Birthday Sarah!!!...30 is the New 20!!
This is a bday gift I made for my new co-worker Sarah. Sarah is a seamstress that will probably become the next big fashion sensation : ) I wanted to be one of the first to nudge her a little so I made this wall hanging for her craft space. I also made her a pin cushion like the one I made myself as well as some stick pins to play around with. I had a great time making this... Sewing was my first love...Shout out to Mrs. Jenkins my sewing and home room teacher at Dunbar : )
On a side note... I am still crafting, people!! I just have a little less time these days with the new job and added responsiblilities but yes... hubby "STILL" lets me craft... LOL love you guys!!
Birthday Gift for A friend That Blessed my Soul
I loved making this box for my friend.. If you are not familiar with the story of the Alabaster Box please read Matthew.. You will find the actual story in Matthew 26 but if you read the entire book you will really have a great understanding of the significance of the Alabaster Box. This is not exactly like the one the lady in the story had but I think it is perfect for my friend : )
Happy Birthday Girlie!!
Craft Room Decor
Hi Everyone,
I pray you all had an awesome weekend.. I know I did.. God is so good : ) I wanted to share with you some projects that I worked on this weekend for myself... I made room decor for my craft room.. I am always making things for everyone but this weekend I decided to make some things for myself. I got the SVG from PepitosRoom on etsy. They are so customer friendly and quick to respond to you and the SVGs are awesome!! They were so easy to use and they look great!!! I used chip board for the backing to make them sturdy and I embellished them with handmade flowers and floss..I wish you guys could see them in person... but I guess a picture will have to do.
I also made a pin cushion from a tea cup to hold my handmade stick pins...
I hope you like everything as much as I do : )
Have a great day..
