Candy Jar for Anniversary Gift

This is a candy jar I made for a friend to give to a friend for an anniversary gift. The paint is Martha Stewart mother of pearl. I love the way it came out! She wants hershey kisses almond as the candy. I think this is going to be really pretty with the candy inside. I am making a card to match also... The sentiment will say something like.. May your marriage be sweeter and sweeter as the years go by.. what do you think? Hallmark!! Eat your heart out!! : )

Party Decor For My Niecy Poo : ) She turns (5) 9/1

My Niece turns 5 September 1. This is some party decor I made for her. I hope she likes it all. I am going to make cupcake stands too. I will have them posted soon. I just love the way the letters came out. I used doilies to make it look very femine : ) I think they came out pretty. She can put them on her wall after the party is over. I can't wait for her to see them...she loves to craft too, because she is Aunties Baby!!! : )

Card and Gift For My Daughter : )

Hi All,
My Daughter loves to bake so I thought it would be cute to make her this recipe book and card. The recipe book has 10 pages plus the cover and back. It fits 20 recipes inside. She is a really great baker at 13 years old : ) She recently made her first batch of cake pops that turned out absolutely GREAT!!!
The recipe book was bounded using a bind it all (used to pokes holes and add the metal ring at the top) I used from my kitchen cricut cart to complete this little book. The book measures 7x5 and can stand on a counter to be used for reference. The card is a A2 size card, I wanted it to look like a recipe card so thats why I put the tab on top and just wrote love on it. I cant wait to give it to her. I will post a picture of her cake pops too. She was really excited about them : )

Hi All,
A friend of mine said to me that now she understands why I named my blogg "hubbyletsmecraft"... she said I saw a post from you that was time dated for 2:00am... LOL.. I just wanted to reassure you guys that I am not up till 2 in the morning blogging.. :) there is a feature that allows me to write a blog and post it or schedule it to be sent to emails. So no.. I am not up all hours of the nite and I do not write all day everyday... I just learned how to use the schedule feature : ) I am still learning a lot about this stuff so hang in there with me..

Okay so I broke my Spending Diet already...But I just couldnt pass up the deals!!

Okay sooOoOo I know..I know.. But I just couldn't pass up the deals at Marshalls and TJ Maxx.. They had the Martha Stewart and EK Success punches on sale for 3.99~5.99. The punches are the same ones that are still selling at Joanns and Micheals for 15.99~24.99!! I made these cards using some of the punches. I also brought some paper tape (which is new to me). You can see the paper tape used on the first card.

Altered Journal ~Kinda Cricut Project 3 : )

Altered Journal
A lot was put into this journal. I literally worked on it little by little all weekend.
I think it came out really pretty..
I painted and crackled the cover, and inside panels
I used lace, hot glue butterflies, clay butterflies, a clay frame, clay flowers and angels (all of which I molded myself), material flowers and paper flowers, pearls, and of course a cricut cut on the front to hold the scripture... there is also a cricut frame on the inside front cover panel under the pocket just to pretty it up. I also made a pen to match : )
I hope the recipent loves it just as much as I do. Now I have to make 4 more because my girls said they love it! : )

Personal Challenge Day 2 Project 2

Christmas Card

I used the fancy frames (cricut cartridge) and cut two different frames (green and white glitter) I mounted them on white cardstock.
I cut the ornament from a free digital cartridge.
The ornamet is cut from green swiss dot card stock.
I used sheer white ribbon for the ornament as well as the bottom of the card
Martha Stewart snow flakes were punched out using the same glittered paper...

I dont know about you but it makes me feel a little cooler when I am working on Christmas Cards : )

Hi All this is day one project for my personal cricut challenge. I love the way it turned out and I hope you do too. I created this for a friend who just had a baby. New moms love to post pictures up in their office spaces so I felt like this would be great. Another idea I had was to make christmas ornaments out of the same frame that say "babies first christmas" or "new love" or "happily ever after"... I think that would be really cute.
